Irrigation Project Updates

Course Conditions

Updated 8/22/2025 - Great news for golfers! The Tahoe City Golf Course irrigation replacement project is in its final stretch, and we’re putting on the finishing touches. All nine holes are fully open for play for the rest of the season with no more temporary closures.

Thank you to our golfers for your patience during construction. These upgrades will keep the course healthy, beautiful, and more water-efficient for years to come.

See you on the greens!

About the Project

TCPUD is investing $2.1 Million to replace Tahoe City Golf Course's aging irrigation system. The irrigation system at Tahoe City Golf Course has been in place since 1976, well beyond the typical 30-year lifespan for mountain environments. Thanks to ongoing maintenance, it has lasted longer than expected, but it’s time for a full replacement.

The new system will be more water efficient, have improved turf coverage, and provide a better golf experience for customers.

The project is funded by TCPUD property tax revenue and golf course revenue. This project is not supported by water and sewer rates.
